This is meant to be paired with mcauthor's cEDH cube (CubeID:sxs). The idea is that each player will receive a mana fixing pack after the main draft so they are not forced to draft for color.

This cube combination is meant to support 4 players.
It's probably possible to support more, but the packs would need to be adjusted.

Any cards present in this cube should be "removed" from the other cube (no duplicate cards). Currently there are 60 cards that meet this criteria.

We will be having 3 separate sections of the cube: mana fixing [120 cards], commander options [58 cards], and main cube [242 cards]. There are 420 total cards in the cube (nice).

Commander options include multicolored legendary creatures or mono legendary creatures with "Partner." This also extends to planeswalkers that can be your commander.

Main packs will be composed of 20 cards - 2 commander options and 18 cards from the main cube.

These packs will be built by randomly selecting 2 commander options then randomly selecting 18 cards from the main cube.

Players will receive 3 of these packs and draft them like commander legends (pull 2 cards, pass).

Once all three "main packs" have been drafted, each player will receive a mana fixing pack.

Mana fixing packs will be built by randomly selecting 15 cards from the mana fixing section of the cube.

Players will select one card from the mana fixing pack, then pass the remainder.

60 card decks will be constructed and basic lands will be provided.

To aid in the restoration of the cube after games, certain cards have been marked near the bottom right corner as follows:

  • Commander options: Triangle pointing up
  • Mana fixing: capital letter "L"

Sleeving: This whole cube will have 420 cards (nice).
What we can do is sleeve the commander options a separate color and if players wish to play drafted commanders in their main decks, they can resleeve accordingly.

Note to self: perhaps we should just add the cEDH cube to this one after some optimization (if needed)

If 5 players are desired:

  • Construct main packs of 2 commander options and 16 non-commanders.
  • Mana fixing packs will be the same (15 cards).
  • Decks will be 50-60 cards (including land), since players will receive 6 fewer cards than normal

If 6 players are desired:

  • Construct main packs of 2 commander options and 13 non-commanders.
  • Mana fixing packs will be the same (15 cards).
  • Decks will be 40-50 cards (including land), since players will receive 15 fewer cards than normal
  • Not sure if this is recommended, since that is a pretty thin deck and cards will be left over.
